Judge Timothy Dobeck
Judge Timothy Dobeck was admitted to the practice of law in 1986. He was an Associate Attorney (and later Of Counsel) with the Parma Heights law firm of Cassidy & Mottl. He was also elected to Parma City Council (Ward 5) for two terms. In September of 1987, Judge Dobeck became an Assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecutor, originally under Prosecutor John T. Corrigan, and later, under Prosecutor Stephanie Tubbs Jones. He was promoted to the Major Trial Division in 1989 and served in this capacity until 1998.
In 1998, Judge Dobeck returned to Parma to serve as an Assistant City Prosecutor under William Mason. Dobeck also co-founded the law firm of Boyko & Dobeck with Timothy Boyko in 1998.
Dobeck became the elected Parma Law Director / Chief Prosecutor in January of 1999 where he served for 25 years through December of 2023.
Judge Dobeck is a member of the Parma Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (Committee on Character and Fitness), the Ohio State Bar Association (Civil Justice Program), the International Municipal Attorneys Association, and the Northern Ohio Law Director’s Association (past president).
Dobeck lives in Parma with his wife, Rochelle. They have two adult children.
